My name is Toni McQuilken, and I have been a professional trade journalist and freelance writer since December 2001. I live and work in New York, but I travel the world in search of a good story. My specialty is technical writing and editing, with coverage in such industries as graphic arts and photography, as well as feature and profile writing.

This site is both my resumé and my writing portfolio. Here, you will find every piece I have had run in a magazine as a bylined article. In addition, if you would like to see samples of my editing work, I can either provide them, or feel free to use the links to the individual publications on my resumé, where you can find samples of the issues produced during my tenure at each of them.

The site is divided into several sections to make it easier to navigate—I work full-time on Hotel Business currently, after spending five years at Printing News, and I began my career at Digital Output; the stories I have written while employed at those publications can be found in their own sections. In addition, the freelance work I have done for various publications can be found in its own section, further broken down by magazine.
